Cutting-edge technology.
Drones are revolutionizing governance in India. The SVAMITVA Scheme has introduced the use of drones in Rajasthan. These drones are playing a crucial role in capturing aerial imagery and conducting surveys, enabling the creation of highly accurate land records for effective rural planning of Gram Panchayats.
Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research has successfully conducted a trial run of blood bag delivery by drones under its iDrone initiative. The 'i-DRONE' was first used by ICMR during the COVID-19 pandemic for distributing vaccines to hard-to-reach areas.
The Drone Ecosystem is expanding in India. Soon we might have ‘flying taxis’ as well. This is what Chennai-based firm ePlane Company is working on and their latest test flight of a prototype drone has ensured that their 'flying taxi' dream could become a reality by 2025.
