Triple Boost Economy – India is on track to becoming a $7 trillion economy by 2030 powered by the triple engines of rapid financialization, clean energy transition and digital revolution, according to a report by Deutsche Bank.
Safe Streets – In a bid to empower women and provide safe and secure last-mile connectivity the Chennai Metro is going to provide first ever women bike taxi for women commuters. A total of fifty women bike taxi captain’s base will be available at select Metro stations.
Delivering Healthcare – Northeast India has received its first All India Institute of Medical Sciences. It was built at a cost of Rs 1,123 crore. The hospital will have an annual intake capacity of 100 MBBS students every year and have capacity of 750 beds, including 30 AYUSH beds.
Young Environmentalists – To engage youngsters in climate initiatives, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to start 1,000 climate clubs across the State over the next year. The clubs will be part of schools and colleges wherein students can participate in interactive sessions, experiential learning, and quiz competitions.
Energy Efficient – Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan and Telangana are the top-performing states in energy efficiency index 2021-22. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh showed the most improvement since the last index.
