Peace Prevails – Dimasa National Liberation Army, an Assam-based insurgent group which operates in the Dima Hasao district, signed a peace agreement with the State Government and the Center in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Sustainability Boost – A bio-jet fuel invented in India, known as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) will likely be certified internationally this year. It is produced using home-grown technology from cooking oil and seeds of oil-bearing plants .
Till the Last Man – The Indian government under Operation Kaveri, is set to evacuate about 3,000 Indian-origin passengers from Sudan, where the country is experiencing bloodshed due to clashes between the army and paramilitary forces. More than 2,400 Indians have been evacuated from Sudan till last Friday.
Saving Lives – To provide immediate medical care to accident victims, Telangana State Government has announced the formation of a Telangana Emergency Response Teams (TERI) and the establishment of 55 emergency and trauma centers across the State.
Waste to Wealth – Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has taken a praiseworthy step by licensing 4 e-waste processing facilities and 38 waste dismantlers in the state. These facilities will recover copper, silver and gold from discarded keyboards, desktops, compressors, and other electronic devices, transforming waste into wealth.
