Digital Literacy – Noble Educational Empowerment Society has started a pilot program on digital literacy and physical education in the Naganur Zilla Parishad High School under Karimnagar Rural Mandal to help underprivileged students.
Innovation & Technology – The advanced automated Surya Drone designed by Garuda Aerospace has been deployed in rural India to clean and maintain Solar Panels. It is capable of cleaning solar panels and uses only 100 ml of water. In contrast, traditional manual methods require 4 liters or more for the same.
Livelihood generation – In Karnataka, under the National Rural Livelihood Mission and Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan scheme more than 300 tribal women have been provided training and financial aid to manufacture baskets, tables, book stands, key holders from Lantana camara, an invasive plant species that threatens the country’s forests.
Green Fuel – In the latest Union budget, Rs. 10,000 has been allocated to creating 500 compressed biogas plants. This project will be run under the Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan scheme. 200 biogas plants will potentially be used for vehicles with CBG fuel.
Green Energy – Railway Ministry has announced that India will have its first hydrogen train designed and manufactured locally by December 2023 on the Kalka-Shimla historic circuit. This new train will be called Vande Metro.
