Geography of Culture – Bihar’s famous ‘Marcha Rice’ which is known for its aroma and palatability was awarded the Geographical Indication tag. Marcha is a short indigenous cultivar of rice found in the West Champaran district of Bihar.

International Experts – India has been elected to the highest statistical body of the United Nations for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2024. External Affairs Minister said that India’s expertise in the field of statistics, diversity and demography had earned this honor.
Green Energy – Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), in association with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, has developed an ethanol-fuel cooking stove, which could see a pilot launch soon.
