International Cooperation – The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched two commercial Singaporean satellites. And in a scientific leap, we will see solar panels powering the PSLV rocket’s final stage for conducting month-long experiments, for the first time.
Safe Roads – In Kerala, roads will be watched by Artificial Intelligence enabled cameras. These cameras will identify traffic violators. Kerala Motor Vehicle Department has installed up to 726 AI cameras.
Geography of Culture – Hajipur's famous 'Chiniya' variety of banana, Nalanda's popular 'Bawan Buti' sari and Gaya's 'Pattharkatti Stone Craft' have been accepted for Geographical Indication tag. Applications for 'Khurma', 'Tilkut' and 'Balu Shahi' - the famous delicacies of Bihar - have also been accepted by competent authority after preliminary examinations.
Purple Revolution – Thousands of farmers in Bhaderwah area of Doda district in J&K have taken to lavender cultivation, which is rewarding in terms of much better returns and low upkeep. From 10 kanals in 2012, lavender cultivation in the region has increased to about 4000 kanals of land in just about a decade.
Mental Well being – The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M), has announced a series of mental health wellness sessions for the students. The Institute will take many initiatives to provide students with an environment filled with peace and harmony.
